Paragliding

This sport arrived in Madeira at the end of the 1980’s earning a significant number of enthusiasts on the Island. The municipality of Calheta offers prime conditions for this sport.

There are various areas to start a flight within Calheta, chosen by the participants according to their level of experience, noting however a great adherence to the civil parish of Arco da Calheta.
